At 34, Katrice is proving that the biggest comebacks often occur after life's most significant changes. This fisiocrem athlete and Brisbane mum of two (her boys turning 1 and 3 this year!) is navigating one of the hottest topics in the running community right now: returning to elite performance after pregnancy. Katrice's proudest moments this year have been watching her boys discover their love for movement. With one turning 1 this month and the other hitting 3 in September, Katrice has been witnessing something magical unfold in her backyard.

Katrice has a diverse background spanning retail, hospitality and modelling. She is also the co-founder of We Tri Training & Coaching, a triathlon club and coaching business that successfully operated for more than six years.

Katrice is wired as an independent, self-motivated athlete, and the type who thrives on personal accountability rather than external pressure. Her approach is to keep everything stupidly simple, no overcomplicated training plans, no elaborate meal prep systems, and no chaotic weekly schedules. She believes in showing up, do the work, trust the process, repeat.

She focuses on important recovery routines that include appropriate post stretching exercises and strategic dips in the jacuzzi spa after her runs.

Katrice says, "When I was exposed to triathlon, I was all in." She loves participating in team sports but was hooked after discovering triathlon and long-distance events. She says, "It gives you an opportunity to race yourself, figure out ways to improve and beat your previous performances."
